Purposeful & Easy Science Activities for Preschoolers

Teaching science to preschoolers may seem insane as we think that kids of such a young age need to just play and shouldn’t be burdened with such a heavy academic term like “Science.” The reality is however contrary. The preschoolers are more curious, they love chemical reactions, and want to explore and experiment things.

This is the age when kids throw countless questions because they are at their learning phase. They are open-minded and you can mold their brains as the way you want. Through fun-filled activities, you can create the love of science which is beneficial for the whole academic life of a person.

Here are some purposeful and easy to perform science activities shared by a nursery in Dubai, the Mosaic Nursery, you can perform these activities with your kids at home.

1. Color Changing Fountain:

Fill the half container with the vinegar. Take your toddler’s help by asking him to add a few drops of food color. To make it more appealing to kids, you can add some glitter. Now add some dishwashing liquid. Be careful as the foundation can create a mess so you can put a big tray under the container before adding the last ingredient that is a full tablespoon of baking soda. Stir it and see the reaction of vinegar with baking soda.

Keep adding more vinegar and baking soda to keep the fountain going on for a few minutes. You can keep changing the color to make it more interesting for kids. Trust me! Kids will love this activity.

2. Magnetic Magic:
